COVID-19 Pandemic: Planning the Re-entry Phase, Restarting Your Organization

COVID-19 has caused the nation and the world to stop in its tracks. All but essential businesses have been shuttered and the financial markets are in chaos.  And yet, you and your crisis management team need to be looking forward. The plan for re-entry during this pandemic is much different than any other crisis the world has seen. The challenge of an invisible virus and a large number of susceptible individuals means that it is not possible just to “go back to work” once the home quarantine orders are lifted. The re-entry plan takes careful planning to ensure that you don’t have another health disaster to deal with at work and in your community after a few weeks into your re-entry plan.

How do you restart your organization after we have stopped everything but the most mission critical activities? It is not as simple as to just bring everybody back and resume “business as usual.” Re-entry planning should commence once the organization has started to “power down” its activities for a period of time to slow the spread of the disease.

This presentation reviews the ten steps necessary for re-entry planning. The timing for this is critical. Depending on where you are in the world, you need to begin this a few weeks before your projected peak. This one-hour webinar explores how to develop your re-entry plan now.
