Your Instructor
Amy Parish joined the IPTM staff as an adjunct instructor in 2019 where she provides instruction to the Crime Scene Processing and Bloodstain Pattern Analysis courses. Mrs. Parish is 20-year veteran of law enforcement and currently works for the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office as a Criminal Intelligence Analyst. She is assigned full time at the Tampa Bay Regional Intelligence Center which serves as a fusion center for the Tampa Bay area and covers eight counties. As an analyst in the fusion center, her assignments include but are not limited to multi-jurisdictional crime, counterterrorism, cybersecurity, gang intelligence, and open source intelligence. Prior to joining the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, she spent fourteen years with the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office. Her career with the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office includes almost ten years as a Forensic Investigator. As a Forensic Investigator, she responded to thousands of crime scenes, trained multiple Forensic Investigators, and testified in numerous cases to include violent crimes and property crimes. She specialized in bloodstain pattern analysis and testified to multiple bloodstain cases.
Mrs. Parish’s teaching background includes training sworn and civilian agency personnel on various law enforcement topics to include Bloodstain Pattern Analysis, Crime Scene Processing, Microsoft Excel for Intelligence Analysts, and multiple agency software programs. She has also served as a guest instructor of Bloodstain Pattern Analysis at St. Leo University and at Pasco-Hernando State College. She also taught Intelligence Led Policing to law enforcement members for three years at Pasco County Sheriff’s Office. She completed the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Analyst Academy in 2017, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with Saint Leo University, and has over 500 hours of additional training in law enforcement courses. She is a member of International Association of Crime Analysts and International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts.
