ABOUT THE PRESENTATION |  This month's presentation will take on an interview format between two seasoned human resource and talent experts.  Sit back and enjoy this talk show presentation, taking away useful tips and best practices for either developing leaders or developing yourself.  Our presenters will define the differences between performance and potential.  They will also share methods for measuring performance as well as best practices on identifying high potentials.

ABOUT THE PRESENTERS | Joey Leonard - President, HR Consultant, The H.S. Group:  With more than 20 years of experience in human resources, Joey brings expertise in the areas of employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, and employee engagement.  He also has an extensive background in human resources policy design and administration, workforce planning, compensation management and planning, succession planning, and organizational development.  Joey’s real-world knowledge of talent management strategies and practices makes him a valuable resource for clients. He provides human resources consulting for organizations of all sizes and types.  Joey acquired The H.S. Group in 2018 after a 24-year career at Waupaca Foundry where he was Executive Vice President, Human Resources.  Joey’s industry affiliations include past president of Wisconsin Cast Metals Association and Foundry Educational Foundation (FEF), past chair of the AFS HR division, and past chair of the AFS NEW Chapter.   |   Bob Young - Ascend Talent Strategies:  Dr. Young is a co-founder and licensed business psychologist with Ascend Talent Strategies, Inc.  For over twenty years, Bob has delivered leadership assessment services designed to help his clients identify internal and external candidates that fit the role requirements, the cultural context, and potential for future roles.  Bob began his consulting career by going from graduate school in psychology to being commissioned as an Active-Duty Captain in the United States Air Force.  He played an active role in consulting with command staff at three different Air Force bases during his military career on a wide range of issues, including fitness for duty evaluations, leadership development, anti-terrorism joint forces command team effectiveness training, and Aircraft Mishap Investigation and Prevention.  Since 1999, he has been serving the Wisconsin business community by delivering individual, team, and organizational assessments and developmental services.  Bob has a B.A. in psychology from Hope College in Holland, Michigan and his doctorate in psychology (Psy.D.) from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
