Spring Policy Conference, scheduled for June 4, 2025, at the Le Meridien Madison Hotel, 1177 15th St NW. Each year we bring together Community Development Entities (CDEs), investors, and federal officials to discuss policy and program issues related to the Credit. This year is especially important, with uncertainty surrounding the new Administration’s policies, advocacy and staying informed is critical. This is a time of great change in Washington; there will be a lot to talk about. First and foremost, the status budget reconciliation, tax legislation, and the NMTC Extension. We will also provide updates the NMTC double round and new policies and initiatives at the CDFI Fund. Our conference agenda includes release of the 2025 NMTC Progress Report which documents the impact of NMTC investing in the previous year. This year’s report, our 21st, will include data from a survey of more than 100 CDEs and investors. The report is an important tool to educate policy makers and to share the direct impact of the credit through featured success stories. We are planning to hear from leaders in Congress and the Administration, Congressional tax staff, investors, and other policy makers. After lunch we will head to Capitol Hill for meetings and an NMTC briefing and reception. This is a critically important time for federal community development and particularly the New Markets Tax Credit, which as we all know, expires December 31. |
