PRESENTATION DESCRIPTION:

This presentation will examine the incremental validity and unique contributions of the Rorschach Performance Assessment System (R-PAS) and the Wartegg Drawing Completion Test (WDCT) in the case of a child’s assessment.  Through the use of a case example, each test will be reviewed for its individual interpretive contributions.  The presenters will model integrating findings from the R-PAS and the WDCT and highlight where there is overlap between the measures to reinforce significant findings.  Discussion of incremental validity, benefits of incorporating both measures in a multi-method assessment, and unique contributions of performance-based tests to assessment batteries will be discussed.

LEARNING GOALS and OBJECTIVES:

By the end of this seminar, participants will be able to:
  1. Discuss potential contributions of the Crisi Wartegg System and Rorschach-Performance Assessment System to clinical assessment.
  2. Describe similarities (including convergent validity) between data obtained from the CWS and R-PAS.
  3. Discuss potential areas of incremental validity and additional information obtained from the CWS and R-PAS.
  4. List benefits of using multi-test assessment (i.e., R-PAS plus CWS) in clinical assessment.
