NWAFP is excited to welcome you back for an in-person lunch meeting at the Washington Athletic Club in Downtown Seattle in three years!

Within 12 months, the Fed raised rates from near zero to more than 4.75%. Fears arose that something in the financial system would break, as the tightening revealed previously hidden vulnerabilities. Those fears seemed to materialize in the downfall of two U.S. banks, while a global player like Credit Suisse seemed to lurch on the brink of collapse or bailout. The market turmoil that followed raised questions of whether banks would pull back on lending at a rate that could increase the likelihood of a recession. For corporate treasury and banking professionals who worked during the 2008/2009 financial crisis, recent events have possibly resulted in deja vu. Corporate treasury’s work of protecting and managing a company's cash in challenging market conditions and keeping it easily accessible is once again in the spotlight - especially when large, uninsured account balances were suddenly not accessible anymore. Our panelists, Matthew Mullet, Chief Financial Officer of First Security Bank and Wade Olsen, Co-Founder of Treasury Suite, will talk about the current state of the financial system and what corporate practitioners can do to maneuver safely through these volatile times.
