Event Description
The Oklahoma Travel Industry Association has partnered with Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell to produce the 2022 Fall Lt. Governor's Travel & Tourism Summit, which will be held in Woodward and Ardmore. The program provides tourism education featuring speakers covering a range of topics on best practices to promote tourism in your region, and includes a town hall-type discussion by the Lt. Governor on tourism development in each of the areas visited around the state.
We are proud to partner with Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell to produce each of these Summit programs. His leadership within the tourism community is both supportive and engaging. Don't miss this opportunity to hear from the Lt. Governor at this year's summit events. Come prepared to ask him questions and support his goal to make Oklahoma a Top Ten State in Tourism!

Educational Workshop I
Help Me Get More Out of LinkedIn
By Sheila Scarborough, co-founder of Tourism Currents
Too many people ignore this powerful social business platform until they personally need work and change their LinkedIn bio to, "Looking for new opportunities," but an active personal profile AND a strong brand LinkedIn Page for your CVB, DMO, or Chamber are your keys to long-term success. Your Page is your organization's storefront on LinkedIn, but many haven't even claimed their Page, much less have a plan for what to post there. Let's talk about beefing up your profile and Page, including content ideas and newer features like Events, live video, and article publishing.

Educational Workshop II
Get More Out of Your 24 Hours: Create More Content in Less Time, With Smart Repurposing
By Sheila Scarborough, co-founder of Tourism Currents
Today's tourism marketer can use lots of free/inexpensive and powerful online marketing communications tools - so many that it can seem overwhelming. It is great that you can create tons of content and promotional info, but finding enough time to do so can be challenging, especially for "mighty teams of one." Let's talk about ways to be more productive and create more content in less time, with smart repurposing - like turning Instagram Reels into YouTube Shorts - and using different digital publishing formats to tell the same stories, saving both your valuable time AND your sanity.
