This training will focuses on the assessment of ADHD, ASD, LD, and understanding of Giftedness. The purpose to distinguish each diagnosis and provide steps to differential diagnosis and steps to follow once diagnosed or whether these is a need for more information. The audience will gain a better understanding of how these 3 diagnosis relate to each other and how they are different, as well as what to look for when they may overlap.
The workshop is designed to help participants:
1. Identify what neurodevelopmental disorders are.
2. Identify and understand ADHD, ASD, LD and Giftedness.
3. Differentiate between the three diagnoses.
4. Recognize how they are similar and how they overlap.
5. Once diagnosed, demonstrate what steps to take
Alyse Bone, LCMHC, CRC, is a graduate of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and Psychology with a certification specialty in both developmental and psychiatric disabilities. Alyse has worked in several environments including: Outpatient facilities, Private Practices, Inpatient substance abuse facilities, cancer units, schools, intensive in home, and teaches at the university level. Alyse has worked with agues 3-70 in areas of ADHD, Anxiety, ASD, Bipolar, Depression, Learning Disabilities, OCD, Schizophrenia, Substance Abuse and many other diagnosis. A majority of Alyse's work experience has been in the school and private practice assisting with psychological evaluations, forensic evaluations, and diagnosis and treatment of children with ADHD, ASD, Anxiety, and Giftedness. Alyse is trained in CBT DBT, Play Therapy, Yoga techniques for mental health, and parent trainings (CPRT and PCIT). Alyse also trained in yoga uses techniques to work with children.
