Join our conversation on cash forecasting and how to forecast cash in the new environment.  Panelists: Zack Smylie - Director Treasury for Costco Wholesale Corporation, Stephen Carlson - Treasury Manager, REI, and Diane Campbell - Treasury Manager, Port of Seattle will discuss how to accurately bridge the gap between operational cash and balance sheet. Session will be moderated by Jeff Wenham, Senior Vice President, Head of Deposit and Cash Management Pricing and Portfolio Management. He leads Key Bank’s Commercial deposit pricing strategies and work closely with their Treasury teams to forecast the firms funding position while taking into account the macroeconomic pressures on both liquidity and interest rates. He also leads teams responsible for understanding both risk and profitability within their cash management portfolio’s. Jeff is a member of Key’s Macroeconomic advisory board responsible for recommending the forward looking metrics that they utilize for forecasting. Prior to joining Key, he worked for Wells Fargo Bank where he oversaw the banks liquidity needs and led the Commercial Asset and Liability Analytics team. Jeff lives in Chagrin Falls with his wife and two boys, they enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, biking and skiing.

Zack Smylie is the Director of Treasury for Costco Wholesale.  He joined the Costco Treasury team in 2011 and oversees all Treasury functions including cash management and forecasting.  Zack graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northwest University with a degree in Finance and Accounting and holds an Executive Leadership Certificate from Seattle University. 
 
Stephen Carlson, CTP is the Treasury Manager at REI where he is responsible for treasury operations and investment activities, maintaining relationships with external service providers, and oversees the corporate travel & expense programs. Before joining REI in 2019, he was a consultant at PwC in the Financial and Treasury Management practice, where he advised clients across industries, including technology, media, and entertainment. He holds an MBA from Georgetown University and BBA from George Washington University.

Diane Campbell, CTP joined the Port of Seattle’s Finance & Budget Department as a Financial Analyst in 2005.  Diane gained progressive experiences including financing, debt management, operating and capital budgeting, funds management and treasury, until being appointed Treasury Manager in 2014.  Diane is responsible for the management of the Port’s investment pool, cash flow and liquidity needs, banking relationship and coordination with various departments on the processing of payments and receipts.  Diane holds a B.S. (Accounting), and M.B.A. (International Business) from Fairleigh Dickinson University.  Diane’s career experience includes The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company (Senior Treasury Analyst) and Ingersoll Rand Company (Trade Finance Analyst, and Manager, Pensions Investments)
