This brand new version of DRI’s seminal course, Business Continuity (BCLE 2000), enables you to build a business continuity program based on the most up to the minute information and the most utilized and time tested standard in the field because the DRI International Professional Practices for Business Continuity Management are just that. Newly revamped and long the leading standard in our profession by a mile, the Professional Practices are the foundation upon which this 4 1/2 day classroom or 30 day on-line, in depth, hands on course is built.

Instruction includes all ten Professional Practices detailed below, including new and expanded coverage of cloud computing, cyber threats, supply chain, risk transfer, insurance considerations, legal and regulatory requirements, and manufacturing processes, as well as more traditional topics such as evaluating risks, gaining leadership buy in, crisis communications, and program audit. An experienced instructor using real world examples and interactive workshop exercises will walk you through the key elements of business continuity management, making this the perfect course for those who are relatively new to the profession and want a thorough, leave no stone unturned educational experience.

The participatory nature of the course immerses you in the learning process, enables you to learn by doing, and ensures that you leave having outlined a firm foundation for your program that is specific to your entity. Additionally, the course as well as the revamped supporting material provided to every student is designed to give you all the tools you need to pass the new Qualifying Examination and continue on the path toward becoming a DRI Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP), Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP), Certified Functional Continuity Professional (CFCP), or Certified Business Continuity Vendor (CBCV).

The classroom version (BCLE 2000) includes all instruction for 4.5 days, an opportunity to write the qualifying exam, continental breakfasts, lunch for 2 days and morning/afternoon breaks.  Instructors present a case study exercise and other select exercises depending on the experience in the room.

The on-line version (BCOE 2000) includes access to all modules of the course, three mandatory electronic meetings with a DRIC instructor, the qualifying exam and electronic versions of the Professional Practices and the Glossary.

Audience: The BCLE-2000 and BCOE 2000 courses are designed for individuals on the path to, or with interest in becoming a DRI Certified Business Continuity Professional. It is based on the new DRI International Professional Practices for Business Continuity Practitioners.  As the course works through the major elements of business continuity planning, it will give participants the tools to both; succeed in the field and, develop a robust program that will protect your organization.

DRIC Certification: Upon successfully completing the Qualifying Exam one may apply to DRI CANADA for professional certification
