PLANT DESCRIPTION: Belding WWTP is a new mechanical plant with a permit based flow of 1.2 MGD. The existing facility consisted of 5 lagoon cells which are being decommissioned. Mechanical treatment consists of mechanical screening, grit removal, primary and secondary clarification, biological treatment through the oxidation ditch, and UV disinfection. Solids handling includes an anaerobic and aerobic digester with up to 6 months of biosolids storage.
