The Joe Saylor Memorial Tournament honors the legacy of Joe Saylor, a golf course superintendent in the Hampton Roads/Tidewater area for nearly 40 years and a founder and charter member of the Old Dominion Golf Course Superintendents Association (ODGCSA).
In Joe's memory, we are once again partnering with the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program. Participants are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to support the program's mission of providing holiday gifts to children in need. Thank you in advance for helping make a difference in our communities.

The Pete Dye River Course, Radford, Virginia
Superintendent: Greg Caldwell
The Pete Dye River Course offers a distinctive championship golf experience set along the New River. Designed with a links-style influence, the course rewards strategic shot-making and thoughtful course management while taking advantage of the area's unique natural landscape. Widely recognized for its scenic beauty and challenging design, the River Course provides an exceptional setting for this year's Joe Saylor Memorial Tournament.
Event Schedule
Registration includes: Golf, Prizes, Morning Bar & Breakfast Sandwiches, Boxed Lunch & On-Course Beverages, and Post-Play Reception & Bar.
Registration costs: $100 VGCSA member or partner; $150 non-VGCSA member or partner.
Format
The tournament will be played as a two-man Captain's Choice (Scramble). Play will be governed by USGA Rules, except as modified by Local Rules.
Teams will compete in one of three divisions:

- 10:00 am – Shotgun Start
- 2:00 pm – Reception & Awards
