Plant Description:
The City of East Jordan Wastewater Treatment Plant originally built in 1989, recently undergone a series of upgrades to modernize treatment processes and improve reliability, safety, and compliance. Recent improvements include upgrades to preliminary treatment (screening and grit removal), pumping systems, flow measurement, and process controls. Enhancements to biological treatment and clarification have strengthened overall plant performance, while disinfection improvements ensure consistent protection of receiving waters.
Join us for a tour to see firsthand how the City of East Jordan has invested in its wastewater infrastructure to support community growth, improve system resilience, and protect the environmental quality of Northern Michigan.
