Event Description
This 3 day class is designed for crime scene investigators, detectives, and anyone tasked with processing crime scenes. This class introduces students to strategies for dealing with a large-scale mass casualty event. Participants will follow along with 3 case studies before being introduced to the Incident Command System and ways to have multiple agencies work together to quickly, methodically, and effectively process a large incident. The class will participate in round table exercises as well as work a mock mass casualty scene as a large group of people who may not generally work together. In today's society unfortunately it’s not if, but when the next event happens. This class will prepare the investigators to handle a complex, multifaceted crime scene that encompasses numerous scenes and locations while incorporating resources from all agencies who have responded. This class is approved by the I. A. I. for 24 hours towards certification or recertification.
