Event Description
Make plans now to attend the first in-person SBRA Conference for regulatory personnel being held on April 8-10, 2026 in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. (We recommend arriving late Tuesday, April 7th as the sessions start early Wednesday morning.)
The purpose of this meeting is to inform, discuss, and address operational issues that affect the operations of sports betting regulatory agencies in meeting their statutory responsibilities. While "big picture" issues affecting the evolution of legal wagering options will be discussed, this meet is unique in that it will focus on matters that pose operational as well as political challenges sports betting regulators now must face. There is no other meeting like this being planned this year. (The other meetings are good, but you should NOT miss this one.)
Unlike prior online SBRA meetings, remote participation is not currently being planned and the sessions may not be available for viewing online afterwards.
REGISTER TODAY and take advantage of the early bird reservation discount.
WARNING - ROOM BLOCK IS LIMIITED SO IF YOU WANT TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE GOVERNMENT RATE, RESERVE YOUR ROOM TODAY.
There is a "registration fee" that defrays the cost of the conference, food and beverage, and networking events. There is a Wednesday evening networking event planned for "Howl At the Moon". On Thursday evening there will be a networking event, live horse racing and a tour of the sports betting facility at Harrah's Hoosier Park.
Anticipate informative sessions, lively discussions, brainstorming on solutions to common challenges, and a lot of fun. Spending time with colleagues in person is a time tested way to cement professional relationships and build resources that can be helpful in finding solutions to problems you face as you execute your work responsibilities. Zoom meetings and webinars are good, but an in-person meeting from time to time is invaluable. The Sports Betting Regulators Association (SBRA) is part of the ARCI and the SBRA Chair, Jennifer Rushin of Arkansas, has directed that there be an in-person meeting/conference as part of the ARCI's Annual Meeting and Conference, being held this year in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The conference will feature two program tracks: one for sports betting and gaming regulators and a second for horse racing regulators as the conference is being held concurrently with the ARCI horse racing regulators. There will be joint sessions on issues affecting all and various networking events are being planned. Unlike previous virtual meetings, it has been determined that the group would benefit from an "in-person" meeting so all are encouraged to make plans now.
