Event Description

In this final ANCOR Live session of 2025, the State of the States team unpacks the unpredictable national policy landscape that continues to pose threats to community-based I/DD services, supports, programs, and national data collection efforts—and how data from the State of the States can be a tool in our advocacy.  To strengthen advocacy and preserve vital programs, attendees will receive practical talking points and data applications they can use in state-level policy discussions. The team will also share a first look at new data being added to the national State of the States survey, scheduled for release in January 2026. The survey is designed to capture transformative practices shaping service delivery and outcomes for the decade ahead.

Presenters

  • Emily Shea Tanis, Ph.D., Principal Investigator, State of the States in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, University of Kansas
