This webinar will present new national resources on inclusive transit evacuation planning, developed by June Isaacson Kailes and The Partnership for Inclusive Disaster Strategies. We will discuss a few key transit evacuation lessons from the January 2025 Los Angeles fires and how to use them as opportunities to identify and address planning gaps. While we introduce new "how-to" tools and guidance, we will provide examples of both weak and strong planning solutions that increase precision, clarity, and accountability in messaging, response, and personal planning. Designed for both individuals and emergency professionals, these resources offer concrete actions for strengthening evacuation plans, building personal preparedness, and ensuring transportation systems serve people with disabilities equitably.
