Join us for one of the premier events of the season — the 2025 VGCSA Championship! Open to all VGCSA members and their guests, this tournament promises great competition, camaraderie, and unforgettable moments on the course.

Tee it up on hallowed ground at Kingsmill Resort’s River Course, a Golf Digest Top 100 Course in America that has challenged the world’s best for over 30 years. Designed by the legendary Pete Dye, the River Course winds along the majestic James River, combining breathtaking scenery with masterfully crafted challenges that demand every club in your bag.

This iconic layout has played host to both PGA and LPGA tour events, where champions like Johnny Miller, Tom Watson, Billy Casper, and David Duval etched their names into golf history. The LPGA’s elite—Cristie Kerr, Karrie Webb, Annika Sorenstam, and Lexi Thompson—have also conquered its pristine fairways and lightning-fast greens.

The format is gross individual stroke play, with divisions for Superintendents, Assistants, Senior Superintendents, Affiliates. And new this year will be the low net affiliate championship.

While this event traditionally determines our Virlina Cup qualifiers, this year’s team has already been selected. Due to last year’s cancellation caused by Hurricane Helene, the previously qualified players will proudly represent VGCSA at the rescheduled Virlina Cup, taking place October 12–14, 2025, at the stunning Wildcat Cliffs Country Club in Highlands, NC.

Don’t miss your chance to compete, connect, and enjoy a great day of golf!

Including:

  • Golf, Cart, Range, Trophies, Gross & Net prizes
  • 4 Divisions: Superintendent, Assistants, Senior Superintendent, Affiliate
  • Closest to the pin & long drive contests
  • Morning Refreshments
  • On course Beverages
  • Awards reception with Mexican Fiesta, open beer & wine bar, trophy presentation
