Event Description
The course will begin with an introduction of the instructor, facilitator, and attendees, followed by a discussion of training expectations and course objectives. Participants will then explore key terminology related to inspection and testing before diving into an in-depth look at various pipe materials, such as ductile iron, steel, vitrified clay, concrete, HDPE, and PVC. The course will cover both rigid and flexible pipes, along with topics like deflection and bedding, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of pipe operations. Additionally, the session will address common challenges in pipe maintenance, including issues with hydrogen sulfide, fats, oils, and grease (FOG), and tree root infiltration. The final portion of the training will focus on inspection techniques, ranging from visual inspections to advanced methods like smoke and dye testing, CCTV inspections, and various testing protocols to ensure pipeline integrity.
