Rimfire 50yd BlackJack

**Future matches will be scheduled on the club calendar; frequency will depend on participation and range availability".
Fees are $10 for members, $20 for nonmembers. All participants must stop at the club’s house to purchase a ticket for the match before proceeding to the rile range. Tickets to be given to the match director.

Sign up by 8:30 a.m. First shots promptly at 9:00

Matches are set up as "Friendly competition" among participants, in a supportive environment.
So, come out and have fun!

It is suggested to arrive at the club by 8am.

The 22LR BlackJack Challenge Rules:

There are five rifle classifications:

1.       Thrifty Class: MSRP $450 Max. (no tuner)

2.       Factory Class: MSRP $451 to $600 (no tuner)

3.       Super Factory: MSRP $601 to $1,200 (no tuner)

4.       Unlimited Class: $1,201 to $2,500 (tuner allowed)

5.       Super Unlimited: $2,500 and up (tuner allowed)

Notes:

·      If a front or rear rest with windage and elevation adjustments is used with a class #1 or #2 rifle, Class #1 moves to Class #2, and, Class #2 moves to Class #3

·      If a non-adjustable front rest is used (bipod, bag, etc.) in Class #1 or #2, there will be no change of class

·      Any class rifle is allowed to move to a higher class if the shooter so chooses even if their rifles are not modified

·      Class #’s 3, 4, and 5 may use any front or rear rest adjustable or not.

·      Front and rear rests must be separate, no sleds allowed.

Target to be used shall be the KYL (Know Your Limits) steel rack (see picture). Target #1 and #2 of the rack are not used and will be painted orange.

Shooters will have 12 shots plus one extra if they choose to shoot the “bonus” Target. The Targets must be shot in order from left to right. If the shooter misses a  target , the shooter must continue to shoot at that target until they score a hit. If a target is shot out of sequence, that shot counts as a miss and the correct target must be shot. If a target is shot twice, the second shot counts as a miss. The shooter is responsible for keeping track of the targets that have been shot as well as the next target to shoot. There can be no help from observers. Shooters will have 3 minutes to complete each of three consecutive rounds. Single load rifles will have 3 minutes and 45 seconds. The bonus shot does not count towards time and can only be taken if the round is completed on time.

The match begins when the shooter calls out “shooter ready”. The Match Director will call “Fire” and the clock begins. The shooter begins with target #3 and shoots each plate consecutively left to right through target #8. Once target #8 is hit (BlackJack), the shooter continues to shoot target #8 until they shoot a total of 12 shots. One magazine change is required during each of 3 rounds and may be done at the shooter’s discretion. The Match Director will tell the shooter when they have only 2 shots left to shoot during each of the three rounds. (No one shall coach the shooter.) There will be a primary and a secondary spotter, with the primary calling hits and misses.

Scoring:

Target #1 & 2: not used

Target 3 – (1.5”)……….. 1point

Target 4 – (1.25”)……… 2 points

Target 5 – (1.0”)……….. 3 points

Target 6 – (.75”)……….. 4 points

Target 7 – (.5”)…………. 5 points

Target 8 – (.25”)……….. 6 points

Bonus Target – (3/16”)..1 point

The cumulative points for Targets #3 - #8 equals 21(BlackJack). If the shooter has time remaining, the shooter will continue to shoot Target #8 for additional BlackJacks where each hit scores an additional 21 points. If the shooter has time left after expending their 12 shots, the shooter can shoot the bonus Target for an additional point.

The maximum number of points scored for each of the 3 rounds is 148 including the bonus target.

Range etiquette will apply. Avoid Loud Distractions: Range sessions demand concentration. Keep conversations low in volume, especially near active shooters.
