What types of curricular activities support their creative potential? Which cognitive and affective characteristics distinguish the creatively gifted from other students? This session probes these questions and more with evidence-based strategies that enhance professional and personal creativity in P-12 classrooms. \n\nConnie Phelps, EdD, professor emerita and endowed professor at Emporia State University, directed the Gifted Education graduate and licensure programs for 19 years. She previously taught K-12 gifted students in the Wichita Public Schools and currently teachers K-12 gifted students through the Flint Hills Special Education Cooperative in Emporia, Kansas. She publishes research on giftedness, talent development, and creativity in national and international journals, served as co-editor of Emporia State Research Studies for eight years, and conducts internation collaborative research in creative giftedness.\n\nREGISTRATION:\n$10 for KGTC Members\n$25 for Non-Members\n\nLOCATION:\n\nZoom (Link will be sent to participants after registration is complete.)\n\nREFUND POLICY:\nNo refunds are issued for any reason unless KGTC cancels the session.\n\nCERTIFICATES:\nCertificates of completion will be available by request for PD documentation.\n\n \n\n \n
