Description:
Chaired by Emilie Bromet-Bauer,CVA. It has filed the necessary forms and documents to complete the application for appropriate IRS status of the organization. This includes identifying qualified legal counsel and financial consultants. The group will remain active until the IRS finishes its deliberation. It is anticipated that this work group will disband upon completion of the Form 1023 application.

Key Elements/Primary Work:
•Objective is to complete and submit Form 1023
•Research various sections of 1023 as agreed upon
•Complete various sections of 1023 as agreed upon
•May be asked to write narrative parts of 1023
•Participate in phone conferences with questions and discussion
Preferred interests and Skills:
•Prior experience completing and submitting Form 1023 helpful but not required
•Interest in writing
•Organized
•Interest in or want to learn more about forming a nonprofit and getting tax exempt status
Dates:
Meeting Schedule: Mondays, 2PT, 3MT, 4CT, 5ET; other phone conferences with work group members and attorney as needed and arranged
Time Commitment: 8-10, as needed, includes weekly phone conferences plus additional phone conferences and other work as needed.
