The mission of the Chiefs' Council YLS Assessment Committee is to facilitate, with fidelity, the implementation and sustainability of the YLS/CMI. In order to enhance an evidence-based approach to supervision of youth, our committee works to integrate the YLS/CMI with other Juvenile Justice System Enhancement Strategies, while adhering to the Risk Need Responsivity Principles. The committee offers guidance and support, and strives toward encouraging consistency statewide to ensure the fidelity of the instrument, through training, education, policy development, promoting resources and continuous quality improvement.
