Description:
Be responsible for liaison between the Council and programs on juvenile justice established by legal enactment (official agencies) at the State and Municipal levels

Cooperate with the Council in making recommendations to the Executive Board regarding initiation of needed legislation on the State level in the juvenile justice field

Evaluate pending legislation in the field of juvenile justice, making recommendations to the Council and Executive Board in support or disapproval of such bills

Pursue State funding legislation for reimbursement of the cost of Juvenile Probation administration and services and update the Council on progress of same

-Monitor the daily activity of the Pennsylvania Legislature for any and all Juvenile Justice related legislation that is introduced and pending
-Prepare a legislation tracking sheet that monitors the movement of Juvenile Justice related bills within the PA Legislature
-Evaluate pending legislation in the field of Juvenile Justice, confer with members of the JCJC on pending legislation, and apprise the Executive Committee of the Council on the status of the legislation
-Represent the Council's position to PA Legislative committee chairs and committee members on pending legislation
-Monitor the weekly postings in The Pennsylvania Bulletin for Juvenile Justice related entries, confer with members of JCJC and apprise the Executive Committee of the Council on the nature of the postings.
-Represent the Council's position to the entities that have made postings in The Pennsylvania Bulletin.
