The Chiefs' Council Victim Services Committee
A central tenet of Pennsylvania's Balanced and Restorative Justice Mission, as outlined in the Juvenile Act, is to hold juveniles accountable to repair the harm done to victims and communities.
In addition, the Pennsylvania Crime Victim's Act extends the Victim's Bill of Rights to victims of juvenile offenders. These two pieces of legislation guide the work done by
the Victim Services Committee. The committee is charged with keeping juvenile justice professionals abreast of victim's issues and helping them align their practice with victim's rights. The goal of the committee is to improve services and outcomes for victims of juvenile offenders.
