First Aid/CPR Training
This up-to-date, medically accurate course contains information and procedures for providing first aid to adults. Participants will learn how to recognize a specific problem through various signs and symptoms, and then describe or apply proper procedures to care for the problem. Specific topics include:
Course Elements:
- Handling an emergency, rescuing and moving victims
- Scene survey and victim assessment
- Bleeding and signs of shock
- Wounds, dressings and bandages
- Head and spinal injuries
- Chest, abdominal and pelvic injuries
- Bone, joint and muscle injuries
- Burns
- Poisoning, bites and stings
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
This basic life support course is designed for the employees and community members who require course completion credentials. The course content includes:
- Action at an emergency
- Breathing and cardiac emergencies
- Rescue breathing
- Airway obstruction (choking)
- CPR
- Heart disease prevention
- An Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) introduction
