PanAm &ParaPanAm 2015- Potential Issues and Preparedness
In our September 2014 Symposium, the 2015 Games Planning Team shared an introduction to the Games, and what was to come. The March DRIE Symposium will focus on the extensive work done by the planning team addressing risk environment, anticipated impacts, and solid planning strategies involved to ensure the safety and security of the participants, spectators and the larger community.
In our September symposium the vast majority of attendees expressed interest in having this follow up session to help us all prepare for the impact of the Games.
Useful PanAm planning tips and links will be shared with the membership at the session.
This session will be presented by the 2015 Games Planning Team. Presenters are from Toronto Police Services, Ministry of Transportation, and Toronto2015. Also presenting will be Office of the Fire Marshall & Emergency Management.
The 2015 PanAm and ParaPanAm Games comes to Ontario this summer, involving athletes, media and spectators from 41 countries with venues spanning from Durham Region to Niagara Falls.
