Join OKWIL for a seminar called "Big Girls Don't Cry: Resolving Conflict Through Effective Communication," presented by Jill M. Hudson, Esq., SPHR, Sr. Human Resources Consultant for GBS. In this interactive session, you’ll learn the following techniques for dealing with conflict and communication challenges that women in particular may face in the workplace:

• How to face confrontation head-on and communicate professionally
• Verbal self-defense techniques for defusing conflict before it escalates out of control
• Words and phrases to avoid and better alternatives
• Effective responses for disarming disagreeable people, tantrum throwers and whiners
• Tips for remaining calm and poised when tears threaten or you’re ready to explode at someone

Buy 50/50 Raffle tickets and support the Oklahoma Chapter of Women in Lodging as they raise scholarship funds to send one lucky member, along with the Oklahoma delegation, to the 2017 Legislative Action Summit in Washington, D.C. Each ticket purchased provides one chance during a cash drawing at the end of the session. If your ticket is pulled you'll win 50% of the total dollars raised for the session. The other 50% supports the LAS scholarship fund. Tickets will also be sold onsite.
