I love the way it handles light, ever changing as the light source changes. Glass has always held a facsination for me, as long as I can remember. I first took classes in stained glass after seeing the stained glass window in Europe, then learned fused glass and found it suits my personality better. I love teaching others about glass, I always learn from my students, their creativity is amazing. Sharing glass techniques gives particular satisfaction.		Member Profile: Kathy Nelson was born in Pennsylvania and lived in many parts of the United States before settling permanently in north Scottsdale in 1988. A long standing fascination with the texture, color and durability of glass fueled her interest in that medium. Her visits to European cathedrals emphasized the beauty of glass. She started working in glass as a hobby about 12 years ago. Initially, she was attracted to stained glass. However, after taking a couple of fused glass classes she switched from stained glass to fused glass, and has continued in that art, learning and teaching for more than a decade.
