Educational sessions, before CPAN Annual Meeting.  There are two educational sessions available:

Learn about the new MiABLE 529 plans:
MiABLE plans are designed to give individuals with disabilities and their family members the opportunity ot save money without having to worry about  losing their federal or state benefits.  MI Department of Treasury program Director, Scott DeVarona and financial advisor Brian Culver will be there to tell you all about the program, how to register, and answer your questions.  If you know someone that has a disability, this is a program you will want to attend.  Attendees will have the opportunity ot meet with a financial advisor after the presentation to ask questions and discuss your specific situation.  This session is FREE, but requires registration.

Life After Covenant v. State Farm:  How Providers Can Avoid Litigation and What to Do When They Can't:
In this educational session presented by Stephen and Thomas Sinas, CPAN Associate General Counsel, participants will learn how to:  avoid no-fault related litigation, use assignments post-Covenant ruling, and prepare for litigation, if your organization goes to court.  There will be time for Q & A.  The cost of this session is $25, $35 for non-members and includes handouts and refreshments.

Learn about this valuable program that enables individuals with disabilities to save for the future, while
protecting eligibility for public benefits. The presentation will cover the following topics:

  • The history of the ABLE Act 
  • ABLE account features 
  • Who is eligible for an ABLE account?
  • What can ABLE funds be used for? 
  • MiABLE features (tax implications and state specific features) 
  • How to open a MiABLE account 

There will be time for Q & A and access to a certified financial advisor .

Session is FREE and includes handouts, refreshments and access
to a certified financial advisor.


Who should at tend? Persons who became disabled prior to age 26, folks receiving SSI or SSDI due to disability, survivors and
family members, case managers and providers working with individual in the disability community.

Time to dust off those clubs and sign-up to play in the CPAN Golf Outing

CPAN's 6th Annual CPAN Golf Outing will take place on Monday, June 11, 2018 at Hawk Hollow, Bath, Michigan. Check-in and continental breakfast begins at 9:00 A.M. for our 10:00 A.M. shot-gun start. Sponsors and prize hole winners will be recognized at the reception following 18 holes of golf. Lunch is included at the turn. Register your foursome, as an individual golfer or join us as a sponsor. 

About Hawk Hollow Golf Course.  Twenty-seven holes of Championship Golf — rated 4 1/2 out of 5 stars by Golf Digest and listed among the top 200 “Places to Play.” This 500 acre track will provide you the opportunity to use every club in your bag. Classic Jerry Matthews layout… beautiful!

How about spending a summer evening surrounded by beautiful art, delicious food and good friends-all to raise funds for a great cause, while preserving and protecting Michigan's model no-fault insurance system?  It’s the 7th Annual Survive & Thrive Art Sale, and you’re invited.

Register now to attend an evening of refreshments featuring an art sale of works from artists with traumatic brain injuries and other disabilities at the seventh annual Survive & Thrive, a benefit supporting CPAN, hosted by Work Skills, Corporation and Studio West Gallery. The sale is Wednesday, July 25, from 4:30 P.M.to 8:00 P.M. at Studio West Gallery in Brighton, MI. The gallery is located at 111 South West Street, Brighton, MI. Event Sponsorships are available for $600 and include admission for 6, special recognition at the event, and a commemorative art work in acknowledgement of your sponsorship. Individual tickets are $65.00, $55 for CPAN members.  If you are not a CPAN member and wish to join, you may do so in conjunction with this event for a cost of $145.00. That is a $25 savings!

You are cordially invited to attend a dinner gala on Saturday, October 27,  2018 at Eagle Eye Golf Club and Banquet Center, Bath Township, Michigan, celebrating Michigan's model auto no-fault system and those that work to protect and preserve the system.  Reception at 6:00 pm, Dinner at 7:15 pm.

Black-tie preferred.

If you wish to register for multiple items (i.e. table and centerpiece sponsor), you will need to register for each choice separately.
