Do you have a background in environmental planning or civil/environmental engineering? Are you skilled at engaging stakeholders to find solutions to complex problems? Are you an expert in wastewater and drinking water treatment processes?

If so, this could be the perfect job for you.

We’re hiring a Water Quality Planner who will apply their analytical and people skills to integrate water infrastructure planning with a broad spectrum of environmental planning principles. In this position, you will work with diverse stakeholder groups to develop regional water quality plans and address ongoing and emerging water quality issues that impact people and businesses in northwest Ohio.

This position will be integral to our current efforts to modernize the region’s Areawide Water Quality Management Plan (AWQMP or 208 Plan.) This will involve the integration of wastewater infrastructure, nonpoint source, stormwater, and drinking water planning with issues of environmental justice, climate resiliency, and emerging contaminants. Salary and Job Title will be determined commensurate with experience. The following titles and starting salaries will be considered for this position:

Planner II - $50,000 – $60,000

Planner III - $60,000 – $70,000

Project Manager - $70,000 – $75,000

All full-time employees receive TMACOG’s competitive benefits package. TMACOG contributes 14% of an employee’s gross pay toward their pension. TMACOG also contributes to employee health savings accounts (HSA), pays 100% of dental and vision premiums, and 80% of health insurance premiums (depending on plan selected.)
