Position Overview

Bishop Blanchet is searching for an experienced Finance Professional to serve as their Director of Finance. The Director of Finance is a full-time, on-site, year-round, exempt position that reports to the President and is responsible for providing financial oversight and support of school operations and goals.

Essential Functions:

Oversees preparation and management of the annual operating budget and capital project budgets.
Responsible for monthly financial reporting and analysis as well as the annual financial audit.
Manages cash and financing needs for both operations and capital projects.
Works directly with the Archdiocese of Seattle on matters of insurance, benefits, payroll, and other services provided by the archdiocese.
Responsible for the annual re-enrollment process and supports the Admissions department in the enrollment of new students.
Administration of Financial Aid awards and appeals including setting policies and procedures.
Oversees Accounts Receivable, Cash Receipts, Accounts Payable and Payroll.
Works with the Human Resources Department to administer compensation, benefits, and personnel policies.
Monitors Endowment investment performance and administers Endowment spending in accordance with School’s spending policy.
Responsible for the completion of the annual audit.
Approves vendor contracts and financial obligations.
Maintains and utilizes financial systems including FACTS tuition management system and FACTS aid management system, Sage accounting software, Biz Insight report writer, and Finalsite enrollment system.
Provides business and operational functions in support of the International Student program.
Oversees the administration of student transportation bus program in collaboration with the Facilities Department.
Attends Board of Directors meetings.
Serves as School Liaison and coordinates Finance Committee meetings and attends Facilities Committee meetings.
Serves on the BBHS Leadership Team.
Supervises the Director of Food Services, Controller and Staff Accountant.
Performs other duties as assigned by the President.

Qualifications:

BA/BS Accounting degree required.
CPA preferred but not required.
10 years experience required, 5 years minimum in managerial role in a complex organization.
Non-profit experience preferred.
Proficiency with MS Office and Google Docs.

Thorough knowledge of school operations.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing - presenting financial data with clarity to a broad audience to include staff, BBHS community, Board members and families served.
Ability to work collaboratively with the community and with staff at all levels.
Ability to operate with a high degree of confidentiality.
Ability to maintain excellent interpersonal relationships with superiors, peers, and subordinates.
Extensive knowledge of vendor contract administration, service agreement negotiations, etc. as well as development and implementation of financial/accounting systems policies and workflows in line with industry best practices.
Ability to bring diverse cultural and ethnic perspectives to the school and/or a commitment to serving as a mentor for traditionally underrepresented staff and students.

Compensation and Summary of Benefits:

Salary Range: $135,980 - $166,197
