Engineer-in-Training I
The Department of Public Utilities, Division of Sewers and Drains is looking for qualified applicants to fill a vacancy within the Plan Review Section. This full time position will perform entry level practical engineering work under the general supervision of a Professional Engineer. Duties include but are not limited to: learning stormwater and sanitary sewer design requirements for the review of engineering plans, calculations, reports, and studies to provide comments for conformance to City standards ; learning to prepare and review reports and studies to identify and recommend engineering solutions, and learning to review cost estimates and quantities of supplies and equipment necessary for construction. Learns to perform Private Development Plan Reviews at BZS Site Engineering (One Stop Shop) and corresponds with consultants, developers, contractors, utility companies, other City Division/Departments, various Regulatory Agencies
Salary for this position is $27.51-$41.25/hr.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and obtain a valid Engineer Intern Certificate by the end of the probationary period. A valid motor vehicle operator’s license is required.
