Division of Sewerage and Drainage – Engineering Associate III Position- Plan Review Section
The City of Columbus Department of Public Utilities is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Engineer Associate III within the Division of Sewerage and Drainage. This position will perform paraprofessional duties in the Plan Review Section. The position will review plans and right of way permits of various format, using standard practice. Subject matter to review will include stormwater and sanitary improvements, projects in the 100-year floodplain, sediment and erosion control practices, stormwater pollution prevention plans and other related items. The position will conduct research as needed to support project objectives. The position will coordinate with City project managers, consultants, City and external regulatory agencies regarding plan coordination, design and construction issues related to Division of Sewerage and Drainage facilities.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must complete twelfth school grade and have five (5) years of experience performing paraprofessional engineering work. Substitution(s): College education in engineering or a related curriculum may be substituted for up to four (4) years of the experience on a year-for-year basis. A certificate of high school equivalence (GED) will be accepted in lieu of the twelfth grade requirement. Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license. Salary range: $29.37-44.05 per hour.
