The Village of West Jefferson is accepting applications for the position of Public Service Assistant Water Superintendent. This position is an advanced operator position with the incumbent responsible for operating the Village water treatment plant and assisting when needed in the wastewater plant. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Public Service Water Superintendent with the employee expected to work independently and exercise discretion in making routine plant operating decisions. The employee works in the Water Treatment Plant and may be intermittently assigned to the Water Treatment Plant.

Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must possess experience or training which indicates a mechanical aptitude and ability to maintain mechanical and electrical equipment. Must possess at least a Class I Water Supply License with the ability to obtain a Class II Water Supply License if and when Ohio EPA declares the Village Water Plant as a Class II Plant.



Comments:
This position is a full-time non-exempt position with a pay range of $31.66 to $39.46 including a comprehensive benefits package. A detailed job description may be obtained at the Finance Department, 28 East Main Street, West Jefferson, Ohio 43162.
