Details:
Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled utility maintenance work and operates a variety of equipment in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of the city utilities, streets and other infrastructure, with a concentration on the wastewater collections systems. Experience with Jet/Vac trucks, mainline crawler cameras and/or point repairs is desired. Actively supports and upholds the City’s mission and values. MANDATORY MEMBER OF SNOW & ICE CONTROL TEAM.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.); and
2. Possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License*; and
3. Possess a minimum of Class A Ohio Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)* w/ tanker endorsement, and
4. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the operation and/or maintenance of sewer collection systems, or equivalent, and
5. Must be able to respond within a reasonable amount of time to emergencies and fulfill physical demands of the position; and
6. Must be able and willing to work extended hours and demonstrate a work history of reliable attendance and overtime response.
Additional requirement for Wastewater Collection Divisions only: Obtain a minimum of an Ohio EPA Class I Wastewater Collection Operator License* as determined by the Department Director or designee within two (2) years of appointment.
*Licensures must be maintained over the course of employment as a condition of employment within this classification.
Comments:
The hourly wage for this position is $22.53 - $26.01 per hour (Grade 3) DOQ with an excellent benefits package.
