Water Plant Operator II
This full-time position within the Division of Water will operate the Parsons Avenue Water Plant (PAWP) and local control panels in accordance with all Federal, State, and Local laws. This position will collect samples and perform laboratory analyses of drinking water, supervise the unloading of treatment chemicals, facilitate the development of standard operating procedures related to plant processes/safety, document operational/maintenance issues according to plant protocols, and create and modify programmable logic controllers and SCADA systems to control and monitor the flow and chemical processing of water. This position will also respond to emergencies affecting the plant such as chemical spills and/or leaks, electrical outages, flooding and other adverse weather conditions on behalf of the operations manager and/or plant manager in their absence. Shift schedule- Wednesday through Saturday 11 PM to 9 AM. Salary range is $26.20-$39.29/hr.

Qualifications:
To be considered, candidates must have of a valid Environment protection Agency (EPA) State of Ohio Class II or higher or Water Supply Operator Certificate for water treatment. An Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) State of Ohio Full Laboratory Certificate, with full laboratory approval for the assigned water treatment facility by completion of the probationary period.
