Details:
Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled utility maintenance work and operates a variety of light equipment in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance and replacement of city utilities, streets, and infrastructure with a concentration on the water distribution system. Actively supports and upholds the City’s stated mission and values. MANDATORY MEMBER OF SNOW & ICE CONTROL TEAM.



Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.); and
2. One (1) year of experience in the operation of light equipment relating to construction, maintenance or repair of water distribution systems, sanitary/storm sewer collection systems and/or roadways, or equivalent; and
3. Possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License*; and
4. Possess a minimum of a Class B Ohio Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with tanker endorsement or obtain within 6 months of position appointment*; and
5. Must be able to respond within a reasonable amount of time to emergencies and fulfill physical demands of the position; and
6. Must be able and willing to work extended hours and demonstrate a work history of reliable attendance and overtime response.
Additional requirement for Water Distribution Division only: Obtain a minimum of an Ohio EPA Class I Water Supply Operator License*or Water Distribution Operator License* as determined by the Department Director or designee within two (2) years of appointment.
*Licensures must be maintained over the course of employment as a condition of employment within this classification.



Comments:
The hourly wage for this position is $21.80 - $25.04 per hour (Grade 2) DOQ with an excellent benefits package.
