Details:
The City of Piqua is accepting applications for the position of wastewater plant operator. Under general supervision, this position inspects plant and shift log; participates in and controls the operation of treatment facilities and equipment in controlling the flow and processing of wastewater, sludge, and effluent; monitors gauges, meters, thermometers, and control panels; trains apprentice operators; collects samples for laboratory tests; monitors emergency situations and performs necessary duties; performs routine chemical and biological analyses of wastewater samples; maintains records of work completed; performs other duties as required.



Qualifications:
Must acquire EPA Class I Wastewater Operator license within 2 years of employment. Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license; must meet the requirements for being insured by the City's insurance provider.



Comments:
pay range of $22.08 – 30.10 depending on license.
