Details:
This is a full-time position with scheduled weekend hours and on-call responsibilities. The starting wage will be $19.74 - $23.22 depending on qualifications. A valid Michigan Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Certification or Michigan Water Operator Certification is needed to qualify for incentive pay. A competitive benefits package (Health/Dental/Vision Insurance, Earned Time Off, holiday pay & MERS retirement) are include with this ASFME Union position based upon the current approved union contract.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Analysis of water and wastewater samples
Semi-skilled work in the maintenance, repair and operation of wastewater treatment facilities and systems
Provide support in the maintenance, operation, and repair of the water treatment and supply facilities


Qualifications:
Working knowledge of equipment & facilities
Materials, methods, and procedures used in wastewater treatment plant
Working knowledge of laboratory procedures and practices
High school diploma, or a combination of GED training & experience is required. Three years of experience in laboratory work, chemistry, and/or maintenance is desired
Must possess a current and valid Michigan Motor Vehicle Operator’s license
