NorthStar Energy is looking for our first ever Treasury Manager!

The NorthStar Energy (NorthStar) Treasury Manager has overall responsibility for the development, management, and success of NorthStar’s Treasury function including building a daily cash forecasting process, treasury wire, and cash and debt reporting processes. The manager will perform day-to-day activities to ensure adequate liquidity for the business while assisting the CFO to lead all aspects of the long-term financial strategy. The role is "hands-on" with no direct reports, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. Qualified candidates will bring deep experience with corporate treasury functions, practices, and procedures as well as drive and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. https://www.nsenergy.com/

Essential responsibilities are:

Develop and manage a daily cash positioning process, working closely with controllers across NorthStar’s portfolio for forecast information to ensure adequate liquidity at all times.

Manage wire transfers for NorthStar shared services and all banking portal administration.

Develop long-term cash flow, borrowing, and debt capacity forecasts.

Provide regular and ad-hoc reporting on liquidity, borrowing activity, and covenant compliance.

Assists in managing and maintaining the company’s banking infrastructure, including bank relationships.

Manages capital market risks and interest exposures.

Partner with FP&A, Accounting, and Supply teams to manage working capital levels that provide adequate investment levels for the business units.

Review, supervise, and ensure strong internal controls over banking activities and compliance with internal and external regulations.

Develop an investment policy and invest excess cash per approved policy.

Manage NorthStar bank account structure: open and close bank accounts as needed, update signatories, maintain banking resolutions, and solve operational treasury problems.

Analyze bank fees to identify opportunities to lower fees.

Support monthly close and annual audits as the need arises.

Assists with M&A activity for Treasury.

Supports financing negotiations and capital strategy formation.

Engage with team and colleagues in a manner that reflects NorthStar’s values of cohesion, dedication, courage, and personal agency.

Professional Requirements:

Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting and 7+ years of proven experience in corporate treasury or banking with demonstrated career progression, or an equivalent combination of both. MBA and/or CPA preferred? CTP?

Other Professional Skills and Experience

Knowledge of cash management principles and experience with their application
Experience in managing banking and interpersonal structures and working with banking systems and processes
Experience working with bank credit agreements and compliance reporting
Excellent analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of GAAP
Experience with Kyriba a plus
Sophisticated knowledge of Excel and MS Office products
