POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the Chief Operator operates and monitors process-related equipment to ensure that equipment operational parameters are not exceeded so that safe and efficient process schedules are met.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsible for the general operation of equipment involved with the sludge dehydration process, including dewatering, drying, dry solids handling, air pollution control equipment, chemical feed systems, and silo unloading and product shipment.. Operate and monitor any of the following pieces of process-related equipment or systems:
• Rotary dryers
• Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers
• Centrifuge dewatering equipment
• Polymer make down systems
• Rotary Lobe and Centrifugal Pumps
• Product Conveyance Systems
• Screw and belt conveyors
• Electrically and pneumatically controlled valves and sluice gates
• Macerators
• Chemical feed systems
• Batching tanks and dry bulk storage vessels
• Service air compressors

Duties also include:
• Minor pump maintenance
• Take sludge, filtrate, cake, and pellet samples
• Record flows, temperatures, pressures, etc.
• Maintaining process parameters within set guidelines and notifying the Chief Operator of upset conditions
• Maintain a clean work place

Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of facility along with minor equipment maintenance and lubrication.

Job requires considerable lifting, climbing ladders, as well as other strenuous physical activity.


Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
• Knowledge of general operation of an industrial processing or a wastewater treatment plant.
• Ability to communicate effectively and observe and document operations.
• Must have equivalent of high school or technical school education.
• Two years of prior experience in general equipment operations, process, or manufacturing facility.
• Prior experience in Wastewater treatment plants or chemical plant operator desired.

$3K signing bonus; starts $20/Hr, Medical/Vacation/401K
