The City of Columbus Department of Public Utilities is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Operator In Training. To apply, one must first take the open-competitive examination. Operator in Training - This position is responsible for learning to operate all areas of a water or wastewater treatment plant. To qualify you must possess a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license. You must obtain a State of Ohio Class I Wastewater Operator or Water Supply Operator certificate within 24 months of hire. Salary: $41,288 - $51,708.
