As the Accounting and Budget Program Manager (ABPM), you will play a critical role in the fiscal operations of the PSP by serving as the agency's lead accountant. The ABPM is responsible for ensuring all expenditures are made in accordance with state and federal law; budget and expenditure data is accurately reflected in the agency accounting records; and fiscal policy and procedures are established in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the State Accounting and Administrative Manual (SAAM).

The Partnership is the backbone organization for Puget Sound recovery, and as such: leads the collaborative effort to chart the course of recovery, supports and empowers partners to implement the Action Agenda and manages shared measures and accountability.

Qualifications:
Any combination of experience, education, and training that would provide the following required level of knowledge and experience:

Experience in tracking, reporting and projecting agency budget allotments and expenditures
Experience in interpreting and applying State and Federal fiscal policies
Knowledge of State and Federal budget processes
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Knowledge of the State Accounting and Administrative Manual (SAAM)
Demonstrated analytic skills
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Experience in developing cost estimates related to policy or programmatic changes
Skilled in analyzing compliance with Administrative Requirements and Cost Principles
Proficient in using a personal computer and intermediate to advanced skills using Microsoft Word and Excel programs
Ability to interpret and apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Ability to prepare fiscal analyses and budget recommendations
Ability to work effectively with senior managers outside of a direct reporting relationship
Ability to manage competing priorities and ensure deadlines are met
Ability to work independently and accept personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in a team environment
