Details:

The Chief Operator, under general supervision, manages, operates and maintains the Richard A. Rennecker and Socialville Area treatment and supply facilities including water treatment plant facilities, booster stations, elevated storage facilities and wells. Provides supervision and instruction for plant operators and staff, actively operates and maintains equipment and facilities, assists with modification of plant operations to meet regulatory standards, prepares and maintains records and reports, and performs other related duties as required. This is a working supervisor position. Assist with development and implementation of well head protection programs. Monitors, schedules, and actively participates with preventative, routine, and emergency equipment and facility maintenance. Prepares and submits reports required for plant operation. Meets with engineering firms to review detailed plans for upgrade or new construction and recommends project changes.



Qualifications:

Completion of secondary education and one (1) year work experience as a supervisor in a treatment facility; or training and/or work experience which evidences an advanced knowledge of supervision, water treatment science and operating procedures and processes of a water facility, and an advanced and/or equivalent combination of training and or experience. Must possess a Class III Operator Water Supply Works as issued by the Ohio EPA



Comments:

Pay Range: $21.13 - $33.83 per hour
