Assist the Sanitary Engineer / Assistant Sanitary Engineer in all technical aspects of the department. Supervisor of Design/Drafting and Survey/Inspection/OUPS sections of the Projects division. Provide technical assistance to the Maintenance (with periodic supervision), Solid Waste Management District and Water Resource Recovery Facility Divisions. Project Engineer for capital improvement projects, assessment and repair/replacement projects. Coordinate all projects, subdivision drawings, and commercial developments for review, approval and constructability and to figure any fees that may be due.

Coordinates all design phases of the sanitary sewer and waterline improvements within the department, including but not limited to necessary preliminary and final field work, surveying, plan layout, design, drafting, taps and permitting. Review drawings for final approval before construction. Track and report on construction progress coordinating with inspection division so that projects may move along in an efficient and effective manner. Address customer concerns and problems in a prompt manner. Resolve project problems in an acceptable manner and time frame. Verify change orders and quantities, including investigation and negotiation. Prepare correspondence, agreements and necessary legislation for projects. Conduct field visits to review the installation of water supply and sanitary sewer extension projects and assist maintenance department as required. Coordinate project meetings, including final inspection and final approval. Coordinate and secure all necessary easements and property. Coordinate professional engineering service contracts, establishes project limits, and review engineering work for completeness, thoroughness and compliance with rules, regulations and specifications. Coordinate field verification and location of water and sanitary sewerage systems. Assist in coordinating maintenance divisions for appropriate operation and maintenance. Assigns and reviews the annual parcel splits/combines in coordination with the Auditor's office.

Responsible for overseeing technicians to update department's sanitary sewer and water supply line records using the latest technology and staying current with GIS and AutoCad technology. Oversee technicians with all aspects of sanitary sewer and water plan development and record keeping. Continually work to enhance the technical operating efficiency of the Department.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (B.S.C.E.) from four-year accredited college or university; and four years related experience and/or training; or
equivalent combination of education and experience.
-State of Ohio Professional Engineers license (P.E.) required.
-Valid Ohio Driver's license with driving privileges in the State of Ohio.
