MBA 540 Strategic Financial Management

Today's business professionals need to be skilled in the acquisition and analysis of relevant data sets that can be utilized to drive business strategy. Emphasis will be placed on the process of theory and practice of business finance from a decision-maker's perspective. Using quantitative and qualitative tools, gathering, analyzing, and presenting information on company strategy relating to capital structure, sources of short-term and long-term capital, and asset management, based on both internal analyses and the influence of financial markets and institutions that can drive strategic decision-making in modern organizations. This course examines current trends in transactional and dynamic Practical applications that will help students understand how financial management supports other components of a firm's overall business strategy. The course explores the different methods of presenting financial information to a range of audiences and the special challenges involved in managing the finances of international firms.

Qualifications:
Master's degree in business technology, management, analytics, finance or a related field; Ph.D. preferred.
Minimum of two years of experience with business or data analytics tools.
Instructional experience in quantitative fields.
Passion for learning and teaching, and staying up-to-date with the latest trends in the field
Ability to communicate analytical concepts in a tangible and intuitive way.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficient in teamwork and coordination as part of a global dynamic and diverse team.
Experience with online teaching and learning.
