The City of Lansing is seeking to fill one full-time Wastewater Utility Maintenance Worker 400 position in one of the largest wastewater facilities in Michigan that is run with state-of-the art technology. Qualifications:
Knowledge of the maintenance and operation of combined sewer overflow regulators; all applicable safety precautions.
High School Diploma or GED; AND
Two (2) years of experience in wastewater maintenance and operations of combined sewer overflow regulators; OR
An equivalent combination of training and experience.
Must possess and maintain a valid State of Michigan Driver's License.
Selected candidate(s) are required to use a respirator in compliance with MIOSHA regulations; the selected candidate(s) must pass the Respirator Medical Certification Examination and fit test, prior to being transferred, promoted, or hired for this position. Certification and ability to pass the City of Lansing's respirator physical and fit test must be maintained.
Must pass and maintain Confined Space Training and Certification.
May be subject to emergency call-in and shift work as required.
