The Department of Public Utilities, Division of Water is accepting applications for several Water Plant Operator II positions at the Hap Cremean Water Plant located 4250 Morse Rd, Columbus, Ohio 43230. The Hap Cremean Water Plant is a 125 MGD Water Plant that employs lime soda softening, ozonation, biological filtration and is in the process of installing UV disinfection. This position is responsible for overseeing the operations of the water plant on an assigned shift. The incumbent will perform related duties as required such as: operate a SCADA system, collect and analyze water samples, record data, install and modify programmable logic control, and perform minor equipment maintenance. Pre-employment drug screening and BCI & I background check are required if selected. Salary $51,647 - $77,423.
Schedules:
• 2nd shift - Wednesday-Sunday 3:00pm-11:00pm with Monday & Tuesday days off
• 3rd shift - Friday-Tuesday 11:00pm-7:00am with Wednesday & Thursday days off
• 2nd shift - Sunday-Thursday 3:00pm-11:00pm with Friday & Saturday days off. This position will also be responsible for covering other shifts as needed



Qualifications:

To qualify you must possess a valid Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) State of Ohio Class II or higher Water Supply Operator certificate for water treatment works. A valid driver’s license is required. Must obtain a valid EPA State of Ohio Full Laboratory Certificate with full laboratory approval specifically for the Parsons Avenue Water Plant by the completion of your probationary period.
