Financial Supervisor - Tacoma Venues & Events
Tacoma Venues & Events is responsible for sports and entertainment venues within the City of Tacoma (including the Tacoma Dome, Greater Tacoma Convention Center, historic theaters, and Cheney Stadium), the Office of Arts and Cultural Vitality, and the Special Events program.
TVE is seeking a Financial Supervisor for the Business Services Division. The successful candidate will plan, organize and control a variety of technical accounting related duties (A/P, A/R, payroll, payables and purchasing) including event settlement at the Tacoma Dome and Greater Tacoma Convention Center. The Financial Supervisor will provide oversight for the City's interests in Cheney Stadium, Pantages and Rialto Theaters, Theater on the Square, the Office of Arts & Cultural Vitality (including Tacoma Creates) and the Special Events program. Other duties will include financial consultation and oversight of third party vendor contract management including ticketing/box office and auditing. The Financial Supervisor is responsible for budget preparation and monitoring, analyzing, evaluating, and preparing financial reports and projections, and for the supervision of two financial assistants and an administrative assistant.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, finance, or related field with five to seven years of increasingly responsible experience in financial management and accounting. Experience in preparation and management of the operation's budget and three years' management and/or supervisory experience. CPA or CMA preferred.
NOTE: This position must be willing to work extended, irregular and flexible work hours including evenings, weekends and holidays dependent on the event schedule.
Salary: $75,254.40 - $96,491.20
